Complex trauma often leaves clients stuck in survival strategies that once protected them but now limit their capacity for authentic connection and integrated living. The NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) offers a revolutionary approach to healing that focuses on supporting clients' capacity for connection rather than processing past trauma content.
This comprehensive workshop combines didactic learning with live demonstration to give you both theoretical understanding and practical application of NARM principles. You'll begin with foundational concepts and core principles of the model, then witness these principles in action through a live demonstration session. This blend of education and experiential learning allows you to understand the model's framework and see its effectiveness in real-time.
NARM is particularly powerful when working with LGBTQ+ individuals and those in non-traditional relationships, as it addresses the complex intersections of identity, belonging, and authenticity without pathologizing clients' adaptive strategies. You'll learn how this approach honors clients' resilience while gently supporting their nervous system's capacity for regulation and connection.
This unique workshop combines comprehensive didactic teaching with live demonstration, giving you both foundational knowledge and real-time application of NARM principles. Perfect for therapists who want to understand the model before investing in extensive training.

Relational Therapist & NARM Practitioner
I’m Josh, a relational therapist and NARM practitioner working primarily with LGBTQ+ folks and people in non-traditional relationships. I specialize in complex trauma, shame, and identity development. My work focuses on helping clients shift out of long-held survival strategies and into more integrated, authentic ways of being — especially in how they relate to themselves and others. I work with individuals and partnerships who often feel stuck in patterns of self-neglect, disconnection, or unresolved family dynamics. My approach is deeply relational, non-pathologizing, and rooted in curiosity and compassion.
