We will explore the intricacies of age-based roleplaying, also known as ageplay. This practice involves consenting adults engaging in personas that do not align with their chronological age.

Course Description

In this course, we will explore the intricacies of age-based roleplaying, also known as ageplay. This practice involves consenting adults engaging in personas that do not align with their chronological age, such as a 40-year-old playing a pre-verbal child or a 36-year-old acting as their grandparent. We will examine how misunderstandings can lead to these individuals being mischaracterized or perceived of as dangerous by professionals, and how to approach such clients with security and understanding.

We will delve into the various identities and lifestyles associated with ageplay, such as the terminology and distinctions between Adult Babies (AB), Littles, Middles, Tweens, Bigs, and Gerries. Understanding these roles and their dynamics is crucial for providing informed support, whether in a fantasy role-playing scenario or within long-term relationship dynamics. This will then set space for the course to dive into issues of trauma, reparenting, and rediscovering delight.

By exploring personal, cultural, and universal archetypes of parenthood and childhood, this course will help you discern the different expressions of these drives. We will consider the implications of regression, fantasy, and the role of these behaviors in self-reflection and personal growth. You’ll gain tools to help clients understand their motivations and integrate these aspects into their healing journey.
